I work as the Head of UX & Product Design at Qubole Inc. where I established the design function and process. I currently manage a team of skillful designers & researchers who spend their time making products a delight to use.
I am passionate about building global collaborative design communities focussed on delivering impactful and meaning experiences. As such have dedicated time on my and my teams part to give back to the larger design community by open sourcing UI building kits and sharing our knowledge/expertise through various talks, blogs & forums.
During my previous stints working on Oracle Cloud and Wolfram Research, I contributed with requirement gathering, research, ideation, brainstorm and design of many data driven products across different media including mobile, desktop and web.
I have a Masters degree from the University of Michigan, School of Information, Ann Arbor, specializing in Human Computer Interaction (HCI) and Social Computing (SC). I did my undergraduate studies from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, India with specialization in Interaction Design.
While the scientific community enriches us with technological innovations, I, as a designer, look upon myself as the one who encapsulates them into a tangible form. Design, to me, is a problem solving process for which connecting to the end users and understanding their needs, experiences and frustrations is important.
